Fed up with Cash Gen!!! WAVERTREE

Bought a phone and it wouldn't accept a sim card, so I did a check mend on it only to discover that it had been reported as stolen.
So I sent it back and they tried to fob me of so I called the main office where I was given a refund promptly.
I have had too many problems shopping with them so I've decided to not even bother again.

West Ealing cash generator no refund and kept item!!!!

Sent back a faulty £400 phone to West Ealing cash generator, they responded quickly at the start. As soon as they had my item back they refused to respond to me at all. .. Ignored my emails, fobbed me off on phone.. Refused to refund my money. Had to open a PayPal dispute. This is THEFT!

Good Communication

Purchased a Wii U from the Birkenhead store last Wednesday and received the email that it had been shipped on the Thursday.

I sent a email to the store on Saturday to check on the status of the parcel and the manager informed me it was still in the store thanks to UKMail
So Monday morning I decided to ring the store because I was annoyed with the service but the manager insured me I would get it the next day even if it had to be posted via Royal Mail.
I received my console this afternoon and felt both sides of the sale were completely let down by a unreliable UKMail and I would happily pay a little extra for DPD/Parcelforce

One little note was the console had a parental control code left on the system and after ringing Nintendo I would of had to send it in for 4 weeks to have it removed. Luckily I managed to crack the code after 6 hours of guessing but PLEASE can your store actually check consoles for this its important

Unreasonable Postage Charges and Service

On the 5th February I purchased 2 items from the Pontypridd store. I contacted the store prior to purchasing the items because the postage charges was £10 each, I kindly asked if they would combine the postage however I was informed that was not possible because they would be sending the items with Royal Mail and it would cost them nearly £20 to send.

I reluctantly purchased the 2 items and paid the £20 postage. It then came to my attention when the items were delivered that they used a different service (My Hermes) which cost them a less than £7.50.

I politely contacted the store as requested a £10 partial refund due to the circumstances, which I believe was fair. I was informed that I paid a good price for the items (which is irrelevant under the circumstances) and that they was not prepared to do anything.

The store has clearly deliberately made a profit on the postage charges which gives a false representation of the price.

I believe that is goes without saying that the item was misrepresented and is a breach in consumer regulations as they have charged a premium price for postage and used a less expensive option.

Good experience.

Having ordered a camera from Princess Parkway store and then read some of the reviews I became a bit nervous about the transaction.
I needn't have worried, phoned to check on condition before I purchased and was told, what turned out to be a very honest assessment ,the condition of the camera. Very happy with communication and received goods in a couple of days. They even text you to say the time of delivery.
No complaints.

Terrible experience buying online with Dumbarton Cash Generator

I would urge you to be very careful when buying from Dumbarton Cash Generator, or indeed any Cash Generator shop online.

I bought an electric guitar online from the Dumbarton shop having been told via email that it was in 'great condition' and that it had 'no issues'. Turned out to be in terrible condition when I received it - major technical problems made it absolutely unplayable:- neck pick-up not functioning, 5-way selector faulty and locking nut that would not lock!

Shipped it back to the shop, but they are refusing to refund my £160 because of a couple of 'alleged' paint chips in transit.

This guitar was obviously unchecked and totally unsaleable when they shipped it to me, yet I am being made to cover the cost of a guitar that should have been 'skipped' and never sold to anyone.

They are in a word, untrustworthy.

I registered a complaint with Cash Generator's Regional Manager over this matter, but he simply took his franchiser's side. Apparently Cash Generator's online promise that 'all items are checked and tested before shipping' is completely worthless.

I am now £160 down, with nothing to show for it, and I swear I will never deal with this company again.

Robbed by cash generator

My daughter ordered a I phone on line from this company for her 12th birthday paid the money through bank, when the phoned arrived we could not get it to work, phoned network provider who told me the phone was now unlocked and just to get a new sim, we went to the phone store who then told me the phone was damaged I got in touch with the Stevenage branch were the phone was purchased from and they then told me my daughter must have damaged it your not getting your money back and we will not discuss it, when i complained the store manager told a pack of lies and put the phone down.
Cash Generator have robbed my 12 year old daughter of £160.00 and do not have the slightest bit of remorse for doing it.

I urge everyone do not use this company they will rob you too

mobile phone purchase

I bought a brand new boxed phone from Cash Generators at their Crewe branch. After two months of having the phone it seems to have been blacklisted and I could no longer send or receive calls and texts. I went into store to explain my situation, the employee (Martin) firstly apologised for the situation and offered me a refund or and exchange. The issue was handled professionally and the customer service was nothing short of 5 stars.
I would purchase from Cash Generators again and again.

I feel betrayed

disgusted with this company I have spend hundreds of pounds and countless hours in their accrington store and was one of the first people to shop there when it opened years ago only to have my loyalty thrown away and spit upon finding a game with no sticker on and accused the next day of "swapping barcodes" and banned for life! tried to open an investigation with customer service just to have them back to store up! you've lost a very valuable customer and a lot of respect

Went to Greenock store with a Rc Thunder Tiger E325 clearly work then the manager and another boy told me to fly it in a shop with customers clealy irisponsable to the danger this posed these are not toys a could kill and mame i refused and left the shop while they laughed 22/12/2014

Fantastic value & great service

Purchased a laptop from Cash Generator's online store. It was a new Dell laptop current top spec model and I saved well over £1000 so I am very pleased. The transaction was easy, with good communication throughout. Postage was very reasonable, though I would have liked the option to pay more for next working day delivery. Can't fault them, will always check what they have before looking at online auction sites

playstation 4 white

I recently bought a ps4 white, in the advert product was described boxed with 6 month warranty! I received the item and yes it was boxed but a plain cardboard box not the original box as the advert let me to believe also no paperwork !!

so i rung the store to speak to a manager who advised if there was no box in the picture hat means no box and the 6 month warranty is with store,,
There are many items on there webpage which show items with the box but in the description it clearly states no box ... very misleading and deceiving !! Managers answer does not make sense as i have seen other items showing the box but stating in the description no box ??

Smart 4 Turbo (PAYG V"de'fone mobile & charger)

Phone (handset) may have been listed as 2'nd hand but other than it being written in the items description their is no way you cud tell as the handset is in immaculate condition & came looking (cosmeticaly) perfect / looks brand new. The charger isn't the orignal 1 for this phone but being a generic phone charger it fits & does the job just as gud. All in all a very satisfying transaction & purchase. Such an easy hassle free order that was delivered quickly, as from me making the initial purchase the phone was basicaly sent out & delivered via courier the next working day. I'd definitely consider looking for & buying future items via (this / the) CashGenerator website based on this (my first order / transaction) with the shop's website etc :-)

Absolute Diamonds

I have been to many stores this year for Christmas but when I came to cash generator in West Ealing just to do my last little bits the customer services was amazing , Firstly the manager there Jo is a major credit she asked me whilst I was looking at the toys if I would like to see more she had at the back and of which I took 4 of the items ., whilst I was waiting Thomas was interacting with my 2 year old son who was getting aggravated and kept him smiling all I can say is WOW customer service does still exist !!!!!!

Fujifilm FinePix S2950HD Digital Camera

I purchased a digital camera around the 15 December and was told the item was on its way within 12 hours or so, which is great! unfortunately the delivery company cash generator are using which rhymes with UKSnail where able to deliver me a attempted delivery card but on following attempts ( on which I was waiting in for) they where unable to find my property. Frustratingly you don't get informed unless they happen to pop it on their website. So long story short the Xmas gift will be attempted to be delivered after Xmas.

Poor customer service

when everything goes well, the customer service is fine, when things go wrong there is no help!

I ordered 2 games from 2 different stores, the first game turned up days later, brill !
The 2nd game didn't arrive, emailed them and they said they would have to check with Royal Mail. Ok I thought, emailed them a few days later, and they apologized for not getting back to me, but they we're going to send me a new game out, I thought that's fine!

Still no game, no refund and no replies from my emails, tried to complain with their [email protected] mail demon says it can't deliver, not really surprised don't think they are really setup for online purchases

It's a pity all the shops are reviewed in the same review

cheap but some small issues

We have ordered lots from cash generator over the past few months, the items are usually sent very quickly but on 2 occasions we have received faulty items, one an xbox 360 and the other a wii. These were both gifts and had to be sent back as they were advertised as working. Cash generator did pay the return postage but it was a pain having to wait in all day on a courier coming to pick them up.

Bought nokia smart phone

First time buying with this company, payment process was with PayPal so no problems at the till. Fast delivery even though its close to Christmas. Phone was in perfect condition. Had to phone the Kidderminster store, they were very polite and very helpful. Recorded Delivery which is always a peace of mind. All in all a great experience. Will hopefully be using Cash Generator again. Well done guys.

dissapointing service but seem to be tied as they refuse to give me a refund

I paid £130 for an xbox package. The console packed in on me. I returned it and asked for a refund. They refused and gave me another console ( not the same as the 1st one had a monster transfer) wich i reluctantly took. Now this one makes a god awful sound wen the game is loading the disc tray stick and my games crash. I mean how much time and busfayre am i suppose to use to get this resolved. Why cant i just have my miney back. It sucks!

Counterfeit Items

After seing an ad on the website for a 'genuine' pandora charm I thought I'd go for it as it was a reasonable price for a second hand item. When it arrived it was obviously counterfeit. Thankfully Cash Generator were swift in rectifying the situation but I would have thought a company that deals with 2nd hand jewellery should be able to tell genuine items from fake.

Bad service from store, customer service okay...

Regarding Cash Generator Wallasey, they advertised an item with pictures looking like new and sent me a totally different one that was used worn with marks not the item as pictured. I called them and get a different person every time and the person I spoke to last always seems to be off, anyway the woman who answered the phone was pretty nice and apologised but she said manager not in can't help so I opened a dispute via PayPal as I was worried they were not going to cooperate, the following day however they arranged collection and promised to refund when they received it back, item was delivered and I checked via the tracking info but refund not issued, so I called them back 2 days later they told me to close the dispute then I'd get a refund, which is incorrect as paypal told me they have the option throughout the dispute to issue a refund. Anyway once delivery was confirmed PayPal reversed the payment.

Now I obviously have to wait to get my money back!

Response from CG customer service... Yes contrary to popular belief they do reply.

Unfortunately Paypal had put a hold on the account, the store advised you to contact Paypal to remove the dispute and then to call the store again so they could process the refund again whilst you were on the phone. During this time the store received an email from Paypal advising them that the refund had been actioned. We find this may have been why the store were unable to refund as Paypal were looking into your account.

What the store have advised is correct, the store are unable to refund until an item has been returned to the store, so they can ensure the item they sent out has been returned to the store and confirm that the item has been returned in the condition it was sold.

In regards to the pictures of the item, we apologise for any confusion caused, we have escalated your comments to the stores Regional Manager to internally review.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused because of the delay in your refund and thank you for your patience. For the inconvenience the store have advised they will offer a 10% discount off your next purchase at the Wallasey store. My experience with CG hasn't always been bad most of the time the price is cheapest around and the quality is good though yet at other times not so good so gave it 3 stars. Also most of the stores don't reply to emails, I emailed 3 of them, asked one of the stores why they said too busy haven't got time.

In my opinion it's not an online business they use the website as an additional source of income, they're not very good at it as you can see from all the negative feedback they get, best thing to do is find items online then visit the shop in person, I've done that a few times and it's worked out well and worthwhile.

YouView DN370T

Bought this TV Recorder from Bolton store and received one that didn't work. Rang the store and got an immediate apology and an offer of full refund or replacement. Opted for replacement and had it delivered next day with the defective unit collected at the same time. Couldn't have asked for better service or customer care than I got from Jen. Replacement working fine so far and guaranteed six months. What's not to like?

crewe store disgraceful

brought a wired xbox 360 controller for my autistic son who was in need of a control for his xbox as it help with his condition paid for next day del received it but its faulty now I rung up as soon as I tested I have to pay £9.50 to send back via recorded del by the time I get a replacement/refund im £9.50 out of pocket and I could of got a brand new one for the combined price.

I payed £86 for a preowned xbox 360 described as new with a box and I Got sent a scratched, paint marked xbox 360 with no box. Could have got a used one in my local store for £65

Unacceptable by any standards. You would expect this sort of scam from a small market trader not a big brand franchise unit, clearly they advertise high quality goods at a competitive price and send lower quality lower priced goods instead knowing that not all will complain and therefore increasing there profits.

Have reported the company to the office of fair trading and opened a dispute with paypal.

Item will eligibly be collect tomorrow and refunded but now I will have to wait on the refund and then another week for delivery from a competitor. Very disgusting from a "reputable" company.

Terrible company!

Bought a Kindle online last Friday 14th and have been waiting for an email to say it had been dispatched. Today 19th I rang the store in Stockport at 9.30am and was told it would be dispatched today so I asked them to email me the tracking number. I checked my emails at 5pm and had received no email so I rang the store again and was then told the Kindle had been sold in store. I am furious as this is the second time they have done this to me. I asked if they had another one and was informed they did but was £30 more expensive but they would do a deal on it. I agreed on a price and asked if we could pick it up tomorrow and was informed that we could. HOWEVER I was then told they would refund my money and I would have to pay again tomorrow. Seeing as I paid on my card through Paypal it would take a few days to come back into my Bank account so I certainly would not be paying again. The Assistant said they would hold on to the Kindle until I had got my money back and that he would refund me now. Obviously he didn't as I checked my Paypal and no refund has been issued. It seems they cannot be bothered to update their system when someone buys an item in store. So they end up getting 2 lots of money and a buyer is left with no item and no money. Your money is sat in their account getting interest. I have now opened a "Item not received" dispute in Paypal. I will now be contacting their managing director at Head Office to complain and also the Office of fair trading. They are taking peoples money under false pretenses!!

Terrible service

Bought a new iPhone with them, they claimed it was unlocked and when the mobile came, it was on EE, so they said they would send someone to my home to collect it so they never came for a few days... then i travelled all the way to the store to return it, they sent the money back but took a week

I purchased an iPhone 5s from a store . Then 2 weeks later the phone just stops working . So I send back to the store they tell me it has water damage . I was shocked because I did not go anywhere near water . So I decided to take it to the apple store and they gave me a brand new phone . The shop does not have a clue what they are talking about!

Maximum Savings Minimum Tears

I have ordered over 18 electrical,DJ and studio items and I can say without doubt the stores are generally good.The items were very well packed and dispatch was timely.The savings can be remarkable.
I have had only one real poor experience.This was sorted out quickly and without any refund issues.
Why not try them because I have found them to be very good..indeed ?
